not talking porn I mean art here ok.
In art we’re allowed to draw figures of a women’s body nude, so would it be any different if i drew.
If you’re allowed to draw figures of nude women, for an out of school art project would it be any different if i drew a pack of cigarettes?
Im taking 2d Art but we’re doing an observation project…Why would it be different?
it’s a 2d art class though its intended for juniors and sophomores.in HS
Why is it that people are so judge-mental of minors who want body art?
Long Story:
Lets see, I maintain straight A’s, don’t get involved with the wrong crowd, do not do drugs or alcohol, and am genuinely a good kid, granted I have my faults, we all do. I am about 5′11 and 180 (solid) pounds at age 15. I will be sixteen when next June decides to rear its head. I would like to put it out there that, neither of my parents would care if I got a tattoo, in fact, my mom would probably praise it as she has some herself. However, onto the more relevant point, I drew out my own design, it is a tribal but has a shockingly large amount of significant meaning behind it, and there is a circular hole in the center which in that I have placed the sun from one of my moms tattoo’s which represents her. She is and always will be the most important person in my life and she loves tattoos, and I love art, I think this would not only be a great way to express myself, but also my love for her, making a great birthday present for her next year, however, the state that I reside in has made it illegal until I am 18, yes I understand most of you will say you should wait anyway that isn’t my point, why would people presume just because of my age I can’t get a great, loving, meaningful design that I would have forever.
Short Story:
I want a tattoo, it has great meaning, I drew it out myself, I love art, it would have meaning not only for me but also for my mother and would be great to surprise her with, both my parents are fine with this, and the pitiful thing is that the state thinks they should choose every little thing down to this, I understand its to prevent very young kids, like 8 or such, but I think I am perfectly capable to make this choice. Why should anyone else get to choose when something is on my body?
Sam, seems a bit like you feel the need to try to put me down due to age? Well just because I’m not as old as you are, doesn’t mean I am any less intelligent or know how much my decisions affect my future, I plan on law school, I think I have my head pretty set and will never ever hate my mother, even if we were to fight, she is still extremely important and the person who gave me life, I’d say considering she raised me as a single mom and Im getting letters from the Junior Statesman as well as colleges already, must say something about how much profound influence she has on me, and if it didn’t have a meaning that would always be important to me, why would I want something with me forever?
Also I would like to thank the great answers, and my mom won’t mean more to me just because I am older, in my opinion, and I would like to thank the person for saying the bad apple spoils the bunch, quite fitting. however, one last note, even with parently consent it is illegal here so I AM waiting, I never said I wasn’t, just a bit of an assumption from what I see, but I would do the same thing.
For those with extreme amounts of body art and peircings?
For those with their body covered in tattoos and those earrings that stretch out the ear to make a huge hole in the ear lobe, though I think it looks totally rediculous, I understand your right to express yourself.
While it may look cool on you while you are young and don’t have much responsibility and while your look may be acceptable while working in that music store, auto shop or factory, what are you going to do when your tattoos and ears with the big holes in them aren’t acceptable when you have to find other jobs.
Do you also think how you are going to look when you are in your 40’s, 50’s 70’s and older? You are going to be an old guy or woman with wrinkled dragons, skulls, snakes, tribal art and all those other tattoos on your body and big holes in your ear lobes.
Think how you would laugh at an old person today if you saw them like that. Well….that’ll be you.
There MUST be some magic or special ingredient in body art supplies?
that makes people who are tattooed or pierced much much more open minded than many ( sorry for generalizing) others.. can anyone check on an ink bottle to see if they incorporated respect or harmony ?
Honestly just 5 minutes ago there was another disrespectful person who answered someone’s question in a real RUDE way. Helloooooo we are human beings too, deserve your respect at least, we’re not asking for love, neither you understanding if you don’t want to, but respect is the least you can offer a person.
Ok fine, you have the right not appreciate the beauty of body art, i don’t care, it’s your loss ; but stop annoying and insulting people who do, please.
Remember, who are you to be judging us ? ( not a rhetorical question, i’m really curious..)
Anyway if anyone who recalls having been mean to some of us, try ink and needles : makes you addicted, open minded and you never know, you might like it !!
hehehe
